Kidsgrove Town Hall
Newcastle Borough Council appointed us to carry out a major refurbishment programme on Victoria Hall / Kidsgrove Town Hall. The hall is a late-Victorian building designed by Wood and Hutchings of Tunstall. It dates back to 1897, the year of the Royal Diamond Jubilee.
The building houses a community hall and a variety of offices and meeting rooms alongside ancillary facilities.
The works included extensive refurbishment of the roof, clock tower, external joinery, disabled access ramps, toilets and internal mechanical, electrical and decoration works.
The prominent tower clock, originally designed by Potteries Architect Absalom Reade Wood, cost £2,250 to build. As part of the renovations, a new clock face was also installed.
