The brief was to provide a new production facility for the manufacturing of portable integrated instrumentation pods and office space. The proposals included 40,000 square feet of new industrial floor space, including workshops, laboratories, offices and ancillary staff facilities.
The steel portal framed building has a low pitched roof to ensure it remained concealed by the surrounding trees. Profiled insulated cladding panels were used to the walls and roof. The two storey office annex is situated to the front and contrasts in style to the production facility. We designed smooth cladding and full height glazing to give a contemporary feel to the design. We produced designs for the surrounding carpark and road infrastructure to ensure smooth one-way movement of import and export site traffic.
Tarpey Woodfine Architects provided services to RIBA stage 4. The project then completed on a design and build basis with the main contractor.
