Tarpey Woodfine carried out a full measured survey of Firth Park Methodist Church in Sheffield. The church wanted to bolster the already strong community vibe and maintain a financially viable church for the future.
We developed a design to transform the existing large, cold nave and chancel to create smaller multi-functional spaces for use by the local community. The result was a modern children’s soft play centre with café for parents to mingle. We were also able to retain a portion of the church nave as a worship area. Works within this area to refurbish the impressive vaulted ceiling will hopefully commence once funding is in place.
Our involvement included all RIBA stages of work from inception to completion.
