David Woodfine (Director)
BSc(Hons), Dip Arch, RIBA
David worked with Ian Tarpey, now retired, for four years prior to forming Tarpey Woodfine Architects in August 2009. David’s expertise and appetite for sustainable architecture and planning are a valuable asset in advising clients on the avant-garde approaches to design and technology, which are trending to soon become commonplace practices.
Steve D’Arcy (Director)
BA(Hons), MArch, Dip Arch, RIBA
Steve studied architecture at Liverpool University and Birmingham City University. Steve has developed significant technical knowledge and has considerable experience in the procurement of projects from inception through to completion. Steve is dedicated to achieving high standards in all projects and attains the complete satisfaction of all parties involved.
Steve Russell (Director)
BA(Hons), MArch, RIBA
After completing his Masters of Architecture course in 2002, Steve has gained experience working on a variety of projects across a broad range of sectors at several practices with in the North West and West Midlands regions before joining Tarpey Woodfine Architects in 2017. Steve is passionate about design and has developed a considerable technical knowledge working with new, existing and listed buildings using a number of procurement and construction techniques in both public and private sectors.
Dave Wood (Architectural Technologist)
BSc(Hons), ACIAT
Dave studied Architectural Technology and Digital Innovation at The University of Derby and joined Tarpey Woodfine Architects in 2011. His knowledge of technology and new innovations is invaluable within the practice. Dave has gained considerable experience in developing project schemes and managing projects during construction. His technical excellence has contributed to many successfully completed projects. He compliments the traditional methods of draughtsmanship, supporting the development of the practice with his skills.
Ian Sargent (Architectural Technologist)
BSc(Hons)
Ian studied Architectural Technology and Innovation at the University of Derby and since gained experience in a number of private sector architectural practices within Staffordshire. Having taken the lead on many projects, Ian gained technical experience in several building sectors including commercial, residential and education. After a short break from the Industry, he joined Tarpey Woodfine Architects Ltd in January 2018.
Alicia Bowers (Architectural Assistant, APS CDM2015 Accredited)
Alicia studied Architecture at the University of Leeds. She has gained experience in a variety of sectors since joining the practice. In particular, she has developed her skills in both the design and technical aspects of her work. Alicia’s impressive knowledge and I.T. skills have become a valuable asset to the practice. Her ability to judge a client’s taste, from overall architectural style to fine decoration detail, and then relay it into a workable design is a highly appreciated quality.
