Tarpey Woodfine Architects were approached to develop a proposal for a contemporary country house and grounds deep in the rural landscape on the border between Staffordshire and Cheshire.
Following discussions with the client, we developed a three storey dwelling with a single storey leisure annex in a monolithic style of architecture. A contemporary vibe was maintained throughout the design, with smooth honed stone walls, oak cladding and a green sedum roof providing zero maintenance.
All rooms were designed to enjoy large areas of glazing with ultra low profile metal frames, giving a seamless transition from inside to outside. The large areas of glazing were to be compensated with super insulated walls and renewable heating sources such as bio-mass or heat pumps.
To allow the client to fully understand our proposal, we produced a detailed 3D model and walk-through video. Follow this link to view.
