Following extensive community consultation and detailed design development, work has recently started on site to refurbish Trinity Church in Leek.

The church is an attractive stone building dating from the 19th century which has been subject to numerous additions including a copper entrance canopy in the mid 1980s. Our client wanted a more inviting and welcoming entrance, resulting in the removal and replacement of this canopy with a more contemporary glass structure. Internally, the proposals include a community cafe together with extensive refurbishments and alterations to improve the access, layout and ambiance of the internal spaces.

The works are due for completion by Easter 2011.
